This site demonstrates the Murmurations WordPress Collaborative Map Builder Plugin.
Murmurations is an open source decentralised data sharing project, which provides a flexible approach to ontology to make data interoperable across platforms and networks.
The flexible approach to ontology is built around an open-source field library, to which anyone can contribute. These fields are assembled into schemas. Whenever fields are re-used, data which is shared using these fields becomes interoperable, increasing the total value of the data in the network.
Murmurations enables a growing commons of open data and provides tools to simplify data sharing.
The Murmurations WordPress Collaborative Map Builder Plugin demonstrated on this site has been built to enable anyone with basic WordPress skills to gather data from the Murmurations commons and use it to make sophisticated maps and directories.
The WordPress Profile Generator Plugin makes is easy to add more nodes to the commons.
